A Prayer for Healing
"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord.
— Jeremiah 30:17Jehovah Rapha, Lord who heals — I bring You my need for healing. You know every detail of what is broken: the diagnosis, the wound, the part of me that has not been whole in longer than I can remember.
I stand on Your covenant promise today. Your Word cannot return void. Give wisdom to doctors, strength to treatments, and comfort in the waiting.
I receive Your healing — in whatever form You bring it, at whatever pace You ordain. Let Your Spirit work in my body and mind right now. I trust You with the timeline.
Amen.What Does the Bible Say?
Healing is a consistent theme throughout Scripture. The Hebrew word rapha means to heal, restore, make whole. Isaiah 53:5 says, "By His wounds we are healed." Jesus healed every person who came to Him.
